1963 - 1980: The foundation stone
Alexander König, born in Silesia, Poland, grew up in an environment where sport was not just a leisure activity but a way of life. For Alexander and his friends, there was hardly a bigger topic than sport. This deep passion led him to establish himself as an ambitious runner, achieving outstanding performances in both short and middle distances. His ability to consistently leave competitors behind was not only a testament to his extraordinary talent and disciplined training methodology, but also to an unwavering will and determination to give his best in every race. Alexander's early experiences in running laid the foundation for his later career and his philosophy in physiotherapy, where he also upholds the importance of body awareness, discipline and constant work on oneself.
1980 - 1990: Time of learning
As a young man, Alexander König made the courageous decision to follow his heart and emigrate from Poland to Germany. When he arrived in Germany, Alexander initially found work as an industrial mechanic - a job that was far from his true passion. But the call of his heart for a more fulfilling job could not be ignored. Despite the challenges of supporting a young family - his two sons Patrick & Michael were already born - Alexander decided to take a courageous step: he began training as a physiotherapist.
This decision marked the beginning of a new chapter in Alexander's life. It was a time of intensive learning, marked by the desire to help people and to combine his passion for sport with his professional career. After successfully completing his training, Alexander gained valuable experience in the hospital, where he refined and deepened his skills. Here he learned to put theoretical knowledge into practice and to care for patients with a wide range of complaints.
1990 - 2016: Construction
During his time in the hospital, Alexander König felt the limitations of institutional frameworks and decided to realize his dream of holistic care in his own practice. Here he was able to implement his vision of patient-centered therapy that goes far beyond physical treatment and create a space where the well-being of body, mind and soul is the focus. This decision enabled him to care for his patients individually and reach a deeper level of healing and support.
In parallel to his professional career, Alexander was also active as a father and mentor to his two sons Michael and Patrick. He inspired them to pursue their own sporting paths and discover their passion for physiotherapy. By sharing his expertise and passion, he shaped their values and beliefs. This family legacy of discipline, learning and dedication to helping others forms the basis of their professional identity and drives them to further develop Alexander's vision in the world of physiotherapy.
2016: Expansion
After Michael and Patrick completed their training as physiotherapists, they enthusiastically joined their father Alexander's practice. Their goal was not only to continue the family legacy, but also to constantly expand their expertise and continue their training in all areas of physiotherapy. This shared vision and the desire to offer their patients comprehensive care motivated the Koenig family to expand their practice premises and create new opportunities for their ambitious goals.
In 2016, the decision was made to move to the larger premises of the barracks in Horb am Neckar. This step enabled them to offer a wider range of therapy options and to further increase the quality of their treatments. The move to the barracks symbolized the growth and future-oriented development of their practice. Here they were able to implement their vision of modern and comprehensive physiotherapy that focuses on the well-being and health of the patients and is supported by the latest therapy methods.
2016 - today: New standards
Since their move in 2016, the König family practice has made significant progress. They expanded their services to include a 1000 square meter fitness studio and a therapy area of over 300 square meters. With a team of over 30 specialists in occupational, speech and physical therapy, they can now treat more than 200 patients a day to alleviate their symptoms. In addition, Alexander, Michael and Patrick have introduced a special program for occupational accidents that helps patients regain their former strength after work-related accidents or work-related illnesses. This innovation once again confirms the König family's commitment to supporting their patients with innovative and comprehensive therapy options.
